Throughout its history, Pan-Continental Chemical has continuously evolved in response to global industrial trends. As Taiwan’s first manufacturer of active zinc oxide, the company supplied high-quality materials to support the rapid expansion of the rubber industry. With the emergence of the electronics sector, Pan-Continental Chemical became a leading supplier of copper oxide for PCB electroplating applications. As market opportunities grew, the company successfully expanded beyond industrial raw materials into ingredients for cosmetics and personal care.

In recent years, driven by the global transition toward sustainability, Pan-Continental Chemical has continued to innovate and develop environmentally responsible solutions. Company Milestones

1979

Founded in Dajia, Taichung. First product: Zinc Chloride.

Operations began at the Youshi Industrial Zone in Dajia District in central Taiwan, producing zinc chloride for customers in Taiwan and major international manufacturers worldwide.

1981

First manufacturer of Active Zinc Oxide in Taiwan.

At a time when active zinc oxide (AZO) for specialty rubber products was dominated by European suppliers, Pan-Continental Chemical successfully developed AZO after years of research, breaking the monopoly and helping customers upgrade their products.

1985

Production expanded to Zinc Carbonate and French Process Zinc Oxide.

To meet growing market demand, Pan-Continental Chemical expanded production to include French Process zinc oxide and zinc carbonate. Export sales also increased steadily year by year.

1993

First overseas facility established in Guangzhou, China.

As many Taiwanese businesses expanded into China, Pan-Continental Chemical established their first mainland China factory in the Pearl River Delta region to provide localized support for Taiwanese customers.

1999

Introduction of electronic grade Copper Oxide.

With the rapid growth of the printed circuit board (PCB) industry, Pan-Continental Chemical successfully developed electroplating-grade copper oxide and entered the electronics supply chain.

2001

Copper Oxide factory established in Qiandeng, Jiangsu.

To meet the strong demand from PCB manufacturers in China, Pan-Continental Chemical established a copper oxide production facility in Jiangsu, providing customers with a prompt and reliable local supply.

2009

Copper Oxide and Copper Carbonate factory was established in Taiwan.

To support the needs of Taiwan’s PCB industry, Pan-Continental Chemical built a copper oxide production facility at its Taiwan headquarters, ensuring a timely supply for domestic customers.

2010

Active Zinc Oxide and Zinc Carbonate factory was established in Haimen, Jiangsu.

The Haimen facility produces key ingredients for personal care and cosmetic products, laying the foundation for entry into the health & beauty supply chain.

2016

Copper Oxide factory established in Hai Duong Province, Vietnam.

With the economic rise of ASEAN and Vietnam, Pan-Continental Chemical established a copper oxide production facility in Vietnam, providing local and international customers with more diversified supply options.

2018

Capacity expanded simultaneously across Taiwan, Jiangsu, and Vietnam.

To meet continuously growing customer demand and market expansion, Pan-Continental Chemical increased production capacity at all three facilities, ensuring a stable and sufficient supply of products.

2020

Pharmaceutical-grade facility established in Taiwan.

As demand from pharmaceutical-grade customers continued to grow, Pan-Continental Chemical established a new plant in Taiwan to support the increasing needs of the personal care and pharmaceutical sectors.

2024

Fourth Taiwan facility established, dedicated to Copper Chemicals.

Driven by the rapid growth of the electronics industry and the AI supply chain, Pan-Continental Chemical established its fourth Taiwan facility to increase copper oxide production capacity.
